Lesson Plans week of November 11 - November 14

Parent Teacher Conferences this week!  Parent teacher conferences are scheduled for Tuesday evening.  Friday morning you can drop in to see your child’s teacher from 8-11.
Monday - Thursday “A Guide to Giving Back”	Activities Students will be divided into groups and work on a book research documentary related to different types of needs in the community/world You can find the assignment worksheet here:  “A Guide to Giving Back”

Week of November 5 - November 8

WKCE TESTING WEEK!  Students will be testing in the morning on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
Tuesday & Wednesday Block Scheduling 39 min classes Rubric Here: “A Guide to Giving Back”	Activities Students will be divided into groups and work on a book research documentary related to different types of needs in the community/world	Homework: To be determined by each group leader for their project.   Students will have 2 weeks to complete project.
Thursday – 20 minute classes Continue the "Guide to Giving Back" Project work
Friday – No Civics’ class.  WKCE testing in morning and students will be watching a movie after lunch.

Week of October 28 - November 1

Assignment given on Friday, October 25 due on November 1:

Who made YOUR clothes?  Details - Pick a pair of shoes, pants and shirt from your closet.  For each item, include the following: Name of the company, the country where they were made and then include information (from online researching) about the factory conditions.

Monday & Tuesday October 28th and 29th What How & Who Important Questions in an Economy What will be produced? How will it be produced? Don't Sweat It - Changes to Lesson Plans

I have added some new video clips/discussion points to the "Ch 13 Economics" powerpoint. As a result, we are off schedule for this week.  Changes have been made to the previously posted lesson plans. 
There is HOMEWORK tonight that is due on Friday. Students need to find an article about Nike's labor practices and oversea factories.
