Monday - Jan 5 The Colonial Experience Objective:   Students will explore the origins of “consent of the people”	Activities CNN News *Students will analyze a political cartoon and answer questions.  *Students will review and discuss a power point on Chapter 4 Section 1 *Complete a guide. Tuesday - Jan 6 Create a Quiz over Section 1 Origins of our government	Activities CNN News *Students will create a quiz over Section 1. The quiz will be: 10 questions total (4 vocab, 5 multiple choice 1 student choice) Answers on back.	Homework Finish Quiz!
Wednesday & Thursday Jan 7 - 8 Roots of American Government & Moving Toward Nationhood Objective:   Explain the clash of views that brought the colonists into open conflict with England.	Activities CNN News *Students will watch a power point on this section and complete notes. POWER POINT *Formative Assessment:  Snowball Question Activity	Homework No homework
Friday Jan 9 Explore Key Terms and Ideas of Colonial Experience	Activities CNN News Students will read Chapter 4 and complete vocabulary.  Students must read and then come ask for vocabulary activity.	Homework Finish vocabulary

Thursday- Friday “A Guide to Giving Back”	Activities Students will be divided into groups and work on a book research documentary related to different types of needs in the community/world Rubric can be found here: Guide to Giving Back	Homework: To be determined by each group leader for their project. Students will have 3 days to complete their project.
